Pros and cons of Symple Symptom Tracker app for iPhone and iPad

Symple Symptom Tracker app good for

I got the complete edition and I am a very satisfied customer. The team seems to keep updating the application and functions are really helpful to get an view on how we feel/get symptoms in a day to day basis. When going to doctor a, we have a tendency to forget how tough or not so tough our symptoms were. I am giving a four as, as mentioned in a mail, I think the app could have a good tracker to benefit people who have food intolerance or any illness/symptoms which are food dependent. Having a food tracker would make this app just perfect. I hope something can be done about this. :-)
This makes managing chronic (or temporary!) illness so much easier and lets you see connections and developments much more clearly. Way better than just a paper journal! To me personally, the monthly subscription features are essential and very useful, and I gladly invest a little something each month (but I’m sure if your needs are a little less demanding, the basic version will work just fine!). I love it. 10/10 would recommend. Support is super quick, friendly and helpful, too!
Great app, the first one that managed to help me in getting on a habit of consistently tracking my symptoms.
Im using this app to track my chronic pain condition, it is useful but limited. I would like to see the ability to modify previous entries, or at least the previous day entry, waiting till the end of the day to enter in the summary of the day, midnight can pass quickly, not to mention it can be difficult to summarize the day when one is not feeling good. The taunting "Days in a Row" is stress inducing once its missed. It would also be ideal to see a symptom tracker like this that isnt limited to broadly describing the day, when a morning is good but the afternoon is worse it is difficult to accurately have an idea of the different days or triggers(a function to mark flare-ups or a two/three times a day log would be a great improvement). Perfect for keeping track of a cough, cold or reoccurring overall/once a day problem.
This app ensures I keep track of my symptoms and the awesome graph associated over a chosen number of days is great to identify trends in my symptoms. And how often I have pain free days!
Absolutely fabulous. Have Lyme disease and find the Symple App very helpful/useful in tracking my sporadic symptoms.

Some bad moments

This app has potential but is unfortunately not worth the money. Its very simplistic and makes some tracking impossible (for example, you cant track specific times of day for your symptoms, which makes drawing conclusions about treatments or environmental triggers challenging). Try the lite version first before you spend the money on this full version to make sure its right for you.
Dont update this app, or back up & export your data first. I just lost all of my notes & all of my symptoms & factors are listed twice now! Highly unimpressed with this "update." It was great before.
One of my chief annoyances is when the app disrespects you enough to beg for reviews. Whats made worse is this pop up bugged out the app, and now no matter what, the app wont unlock. Move on. There are alternatives, and theres no need to get an app thats largely hostile to the user experience.
When I first got this app, it was pretty simple and just tracked my symptoms throughout the day. I like that its broken up by AM, PM, Mid, and Night. I needed several more trackers than just ten so I paid for the upgraded app. Since the new update, I cant add symptoms if the time frame has passed by even a minute. I forgot to track my AM symptoms today, but now that its midday, I cant add AM symptoms. So thats pointless. I also cant print a graph of my trackers, and its difficult to see the the little bubbles on the report. My doctor never looks at it because he cant read it, I have to interpret it for him. Unless the ability to track all days symptoms comes back, Im done with this app.
This is a great start but is very limited. I understand the need to assign things to categories but not everyone applies to them. For example 80% of the medications that I needed to track are not listed. There should be a way to customize the list of options. Keep trying and good luck.
This is a great app for keeping track of symptoms easily. I have a really hard time remembering on my own when I was having trouble or how often, but now I just log it when it happens and can easily see when my illness was acting up in the past month. The five-level rating for symptoms means I dont spend a lot of time trying to figure out what number to assign, and it lists all my symptoms there so I dont have to try to remember what to note down. Basically, it does all my thinking for me! The free version is pretty good on its own, but I do like being able to put in annotations in the notebook feature, and being able to do as many factors/symptoms as I want. The one thing Id like for them to change is that you can only put in 4 pictures per day. I think youre supposed to use that to track meds, but Ive been using it for food instead and I often eat more than 4x a day, so that would be useful.
